Home is Not a Home
05:05
|

Once I had a train
Drove the southern skys
It dove into the rain
Washed till it dried
And my favorite part of livin then was feelin set free
Like I knew what that was
But time its seemed to pass
My ways didn’t last
Long forgotten now
I speak to them like old friends
We sit around the table, ive seen a lot of things
Its surreal as a light show but I sit there till the end
Oh I want to go back to sleeping in the hollows, theres a long string of things I should’ve
Done
Shadows down, matters all around, left up from the old rounds its all in the things ive seen
So I come home from a late night
To a campfire in the starlight
This home is not a home but its alright
Feels more natural than most nights
And the road goes on forever
I feel it now it holds me more than ever
Its been a long way on short track, feel all the small cracks, wait until tomorrow learn the day will come
I feel left in some old way, find myself day to day, thinking about things that could have been
Once I had a train
Drove the southern skies
It dove into the rain
Washed till it dried
Continued on around twisting through the same marked door
Found itself a home but without love there is no more
What’s real is what he wants it to be
Realized that but found the same old me

Summertime Bee
05:36
|
|||
Summertime she comes
She brings gracefully the sun
The summer light shine so bright
Fall down on me and let me know its alright
Everyday she brings
Like the cuckoo she sings
The joyous state of light
The darkest day and night
We may never know
Oooh ooh oooh
She greets the morning sun shine
5am its not too early she wakes up in all its glory
The birds were chirping all night through
She marks them down with care and caution never stops she knows their marking
Jumping swiftly tree to tree
Oooh my summer time bee
Oooh how I miss thee
Laying out in the sunshine
Find she has a lot of things to say
Its beautiful and so are you
I want to be with you everyday
But out with time and the rains will come
Catch you asleep and exposed
Flooded ways flood your days
Stuck between some muddy ways
And there we stand
Oooh ooh oooh
She greets the moring sunshine
9am its not too early
She wakes up her heads still blurry
The cars were running all night through
She looks so high in the morning
See her smile you feel her warming
Makes you feel like your alive
Oooh my summer time bee
Oooh how I miss thee
But if a seed took root
And found its way into full bloom
Who am I to cause you pain
You are young and things they change
Ill stay here
So lay back today
Let the sun have her way
Greet the grey, feel the way,
Lie to me and tell me it’ll be okay
Oooh ooh oooh

Go ahead, go ahead
Travel this world
Just don’t wait for me anymore
I’ve got my own money saved
I’ve got my own change
And I don’t need the richness of your name
No I don’t need the richness of your name
But I can’t live with the thought
When the feeling is lost
Cause my whole worlds been tossed
Around you
Wise man will say
Watch what you’ve willed
It’s been a long way and I still want tell
So collect up my things
Cause I’ve held them within
Oh I wish we could all be kinder
Oh I wish I could find my mind here
But I can’t live with the thought
When the feeling is lost
Cause my whole worlds been tossed
Around you
My words change
Some things re-arrange
And this whole thing is strange
Cause I’m left the same
Confounds me
Ooooh just wait a minute and see what’s on this road
Ooooh I won’t admit it but I’m scared cause I’m alone
It’s been a long long time (don’t talk about it)
I just don’t know what to do
Seems to numb my mind (just forget about it)
I wanna die when I talk to you
So go ahead, go ahead
Travel this world
Just don’t wait for me anymore
I’ve got my own money saved
I’ve got my own change
And I don’t need the richness of your name
No I don’t need the richness of your name

Okay Birds
04:00
|
|||
Okay birds the place is yours
No said because everyone was dead
The smell of carbon left the air
Nothing but solitude, oh wait who cares
The sun rised like normal
The deer crossed the street
If rocks were people you’d here them speak
But alas I could not care
We spend our lifetimes
Wondering who we are
Sure does seem like a long time
To see whats near as far
No janitors of justice
No juries of fate
Just the hum of air conditioners left on in our wake
I could not care you know
I see it through my own eyes
But this silence aint lasting
Feels to much like home
Saw through earth to cut through bone
Just don’t reach the other side
We spend our lifetimes
Wondering who we are
Sure does seem like a long time
To see whats near as far
Ooooh ooooh ooooh
To my eyes its pleasing
To your eyes It looks the same
To my eyes its needed
The world says it’s a shame
So everything I’m after
And everything I own
Find some consolation
In the fact I’m having fun
We spend our lifetimes
Wondering who we are
Sure does seem like a long time
To see whats near as far

Wait by the River
05:29
|
|||
I’m Coming down love
Can you feel me?
Im fading faster than the rain
Why do I have to live this way
I get here and I go away
Chasing mountains
On an endless stray
Drive this whole damn country through
But its not the brand new day
That makes me come for long enough to stay
I gotta find my way home
I’m coming for you
Wait by the river
And I’ll play this song for you
Read a letter
I wrote to say
Time sure has a way
Battered down and I feel the sway
Saw it in a dream the other day
I gotta find my way home
I’m coming for you
Wait by the river
And I’ll play this song for you
I gotta find my way home
I’m coming for you
Wait by the river
And I’ll play this song for you
Driving out now the world feels grey
The sun shines heavy on your face
And it’s yellow blue green and grey
Telling me to come back today
Will you still be there if I stay?

Why don’t we wait on it
Time comes, rewinds, and spits
Through you ill find my fit
Love holds the way its best
Greeting the morning sunshine
Find out im just not fit
To work the way my mind thinks
Its gold the way it works
Leaves me better of with quirks
Greeting the morning sunshine
Cant find no better way to spend my day
Move on go forward, then turn
Breathe air, exist, and re-learn
Its not much different than when
I was a young man
Greeting the morning sunshine
Cant find no better way to spend my day
Run away from your worries
Hold tight don’t hurry
Its alright
Cause im coming soon
Spend time and think this through
Try to find what sings to you
Even though you know it deep down
World challenges, fall down
Greeting the morning sunshine
One day I hope ill find
Reasons deep in my mind
Fly now, go south, head out
Mark territory, rebound
Greeting the morning sunshine
Cant find no better way to spend my day
I’ve found some better ways to spend my days

Minooka Mountain

Come along its wealth and happiness
Come along just follow me
Fire burns it does not hesitate
Lays its down for the world to see
Wish I knew the way to happiness
Wish the path just came to be
Spend a lifetime on the road
I walk alone because alone is free
And it leaves beautiful day dreams
Of yourself right in your mind
Yes it leaves beautiful day dreams
Of yourself right in your mind
Look around all I find is misery
You leave it there but it follows you
Followed me into the country
Followed me but it was long overdue
So now im waiting for the tides to change
When morning comes ill feel better again
Days pass as im softly leaving you
Wallow round till I find my way
Wallow round till I find my way
And it leaves beautiful day dreams
Of yourself right in your mind
Yes it leaves beautiful day dreams
Of yourself right in your mind
Look out across the sky
The land is flat and so am I
Collect my thoughts and follow them
I see the mountains and will see them again
And it leaves beautiful day dreams
Of yourself right in your mind
Yes it leaves beautiful day dreams
Of yourself right in your mind

Kira's Coming Soon
06:00
|
|||
You can ramble around
This whole wide world
Looking for money
And a brown haired girl
Ive got a message to bring
Fate don’t stop when you’ve got a heavy
load I towed my baby just as far as she would go
I’ve got a message to bring
I headed down to new mexico
But the rains came in and my luck ran cold
I’ve got a message to bring
La da da la da da
Fly a way while you still can.
I then went north to Colorado
Where the whiskeys sweet and the goings slow
I got a message to bring
Hopeless love finds you when your week
Mama warned me but she tastes so sweet
I got a message to bring
Saw my baby the very next week, but she locked my hear and stole the key
Got a message to bring
La da da la da da
Fly a way while you still can.
Well she’ll knock you off your feet,
kick you off your socks
You find the milk and honey and the fun
don’t stop yeahh
But now I cry
Yeah, but now I cry
Leaving town going out alone
Kira’s coming and now she’s gone
Some can’t see the flowers through the trees
I’ll take my chances where the wind leads me
You can ramble around
This whole wide world
Looking for money
And a brown haired girl
Ive got a message to bring
La da da fly away while you still can
